Unable Access SAP ECC data store Meta Data,do we need Client has to be open to access Meta data?

Hi Experts,

I am using 14.1.3 version of BODS. I am getting below error while accessing to SAP ECC External Metadata.

RFC CallReceive error <Function /BODS/RFC_ABAP_INSTALL_AND_RUN: RFC_ABAP_MESSAGE- Changes to Repository objects are not

permitted in this client[SAP NWRFC 720][SAP Partner 640 ][EC2][d184932043][RFC_DS][4103]>

> Every time while accessing the SAP Data store mata data BASIS guy should open the client, other wise we used to get below error.

RFC CallReceive error <Function /BODS/RFC_ABAP_INSTALL_AND_RUN: RFC_ABAP_MESSAGE- SAP system has ststus 'not modifiable' [SAP NWRFC 720][SAP Partner 640 ][EC2][d184932043][RFC_DS][4103]>

After fixing this, now we are getting above error  i.e

RFC_ABAP_INSTALL_AND_RUN: RFC_ABAP_MESSAGE- Changes to Repository objects are not permitted in this client'

Please do suggest, if there is any thing with out opening the client every time we can access Metadata.
