Cannot create a schedule for a batch job.

Good day everyone.

SAPDS server is windows 2008 R2, user running the data services  service is member of local administrator. the server is joined to a domain.

When I create a schedule from the sapds management console it returns this error:

[Repository:SQLA_DSrepo Schedule:NewSchedule660 Error:The task object version is either unsupported or invalid.]

I manually created a test task from within the windows task scheduler application using the same user that runs SAPDS service and it creates the task ok.

Any idea what could be wrong?   thanks in advance.

BTW:  on the windows service management the task schedule service is all greyed out, does not allow to start /stop or restart the service.  However I did restart it changing a value in regedit and then rebooting the OS.
