Connect to BW Bex Query using data services

Hello.

I'm new to all of this Data Service Component and in my company they want to get data from a BW BEx Query like the way you can get data from an DSO Object.

The reason is that the query has some complex logic that we would like to avoid and just grab the final result and load it on another database.

I found that using APD's (Analysis Process Designer) on BW you can like download the result into an DSO and then grab the data using Data Services but I was wondering if you can use the BEx Query directly without doing any other thing or additional configuration.

Any help will be appreciated.
