Global_DOP default changed to 2

Hello,

We are in the process of upgrading our SAP Data Services environment from 14.1 to 14.2.5.  During testing we realized that the default degree of parallelism for job execution (job server parameter Global_DOP) was changed to 2 (before it was 1, so no parallelism).  Does anyone know why the default value has been changed by SAP?  We cannot confirm any significant performance improvement with a parallel degree of 2 (which might require some more optimizations being done to all of the ETL jobs).
