Hi ,
we have encounterd som integration problem Between DS 4.1 and BW 7.3 sp5 , se the description below please help.
DS – BW integration problem description and solution
When you create a Datasource and InfoPackage in BW and select a table from XDB /DS as a source, BW creates a job in DS that then is executes that.
The problem is that the target object is not imported correctly to the Data store associated in DS, BODSDEV (when you first open the job, the target object is shown with a red X, it is non-existent in DS.)
You then have to manually import the object to the Data store in DS.
And then change the object in the Data flow in DS.
Note: if you create the job directly in DS and select a target object in BW, a new info package is created on the BW side. When we start the job in DS, the data is moved to PSA. However, the data package is marked as read in the psa with the following error message:
Further problems:
If any changes are made to the Datasource in BW, the object again gets corrupted and loses its connection to the BODSDEV Data source in DS.
You get this error in the job log:

The only work-around is to re-import the Info Package into the DS data store. Sometimes, even this is not enough, you have to actually edit the Dataflow and insert the table again. This behavior is not consistent.
Note: if you create a process chain in BW, it executes “pure DS jobs” i.e. jobs created and maintained in DS without connections to BW without problems. The behavior described above happens only when you try to use the jobs that BW creates in DS.
Kind Regards,
Marianna
