Explain Map operation OP codes clearly?

Hi ,

I'm new to SAP BODS . I'm trying to understand the map operation codes especially NORMAL op-code.

I do have some questions on that.

1. The below op-code configuration will delete all the rows in the target ?

Normal          Delete

Update          Discard

Insert            Discard

Delete           Discard

2. What will the below op-code configuration will do ?

Normal          Update

Update          Insert

Insert            Discard

Delete           Discard
