Here is our situation. We have a group of five developers that will develop Data Services jobs that load data into our BW system. Each developer has their own local repository in the development server. For example: dev1, dev2, etc.
From my understanding, the RFC connection between Data Services and BW requires a specific local repository to be defined in the connection parameters.
So if developer 1 is working on a program to load BW and dev1 is configured in the RFC connection between Data Services and BW, all is good. He can develop and test his job by running from his local repository, loading into BW. What if developer 2 wants to develop a different job to load into BW? Developer 2 cannot run his job from his local repository (dev2) since dev2 is not in the RFC connection parameters (between Data Services and BW).
How do development teams handle this situation: multiple developers writing jobs that load into BW? Is it possible to have all developers writing programs to load BW at the same time? Obviously they will be using different jobs and loading different objects in BW.
