We have recently encountered an issue where after the basis team had performed a kernel upgrade on the SAP ECC system, all of the ABAP dataflows that were running successfully on the ECC system as background (Batch) processes have all now been switched to run as dialog processes.
I can confirm that the "Run as Background Job (Batch)" setting on the Data Services Datastore for the SAP ECC system is ticked as YES.
The User account used by the Datastore in Data Services to access ECC has SAP_ALL authorizations assigned to it.
We are running Data Services 4.2 SP2. (Version: 14.2.2.446)
The ECC version is ECC 6 EHP 4 and the upgrade on ECC was to bring the kernel to level 7.21 EXT.
What can be done to switch the Data Services abap dataflows to run on ECC as Batch instead of dialog.
