does DS 4.2 support fail over cluster or disaster recovery?

Hi,

does IPS / DS 4.2 support fail over cluster or disaster recovery mechanisms? we have a virtual server does it really need a fail over cluster?

i read a couple of SAP notes on this , anyone here with first hand experience on this kind of setup ?
