PSA doesn't receive data from BODS even though job is successful

Hi All,

 

I am working on a BODS job which pulls data from JDE tables, applies transformations and loads the data into two targets- CSV and BW tables at once.

The job run status and the logs shows that it was completed successfully and data is present in CSV files. But there are no requests received in the PSA layer.

Due to that the process chain is getting failed. I don’t have permissions to login into BODS repository or BW system. I can only view the logs from management console.

 

  Can someone help me with this issue and identify why the requests are not being received in the PSA.

BODS Repository create Error on OracleDB

Hi All,

 

I am getting below error while creating BODS Repository in CMC of SAP BOBJ BI 4.1 SP3.

 

Please help me.

 

com.acta.util.ActaException: [JDBC database driver for 'Oracle' is not loaded. Possible ways to fix this problem: 1) For Data Services Management Console or Central Management Console, copy the associated JDBC driver to <BOE_INSTALL_DIR>/java/lib/im/<database> on the machine where BOE and Data Services AdminService are installed. Then re-start the EIMAdaptiveProcessing Server instance on that machine. 2) For Data Services upgrade manager tool, copy JDBC driver to %LINK_DIR%/ext/lib directory. 3) For Oracle database, see Procduct Availability Matrix (PAM) for supported JDBC driver. BI/IPS 4.2

Hello

 

We like to update DS 3.x to  SAP Data Services 4.2 SP6 Patch 3.

In the product infrastucture dependency with DS 4.2 SP6 Patch 3,  BI/IPS 4.2 is marked as supported. But there is no SBOP Information Platform Services 4.2 to download in the download area yet.

 

Do you know, when it will be available?

How to use '%LIKE%' to join in Query transformation

Hi Experts,

 

I need to implement the below join condition in Query transformation.

SQL:

SELECT A.COL1.B.COL3,B.COL4,B.COL7

FROM TABLE1 AS A, TABLE2 AS B

WHERE A.COL2 LIKE '%'+ B.COL2 +'%'

 

In Query transformation under expression, it is not allowing to add '%' (wild cards). It throws error message.

Also I have tried with lookup_ext function with operartor as ~.

 

Could you please suggest on this..

Extracting Data from Cloud

lead function equivalent in bods

All,

 

This snippet of code is part of the HANA mini-checks and we want to use it in a bods df, however we are against copying sql into a bods sql window and launching it, so we would like to use the bods sources, transforms, etc. so we get good advantage of the push-down functionality.

 

Additionally we have told our developers not to use the sql window either so I'd like not to break any rules we created.

 

Here is the sql snip:

 

SELECT   'COLUMN' AREA, 

SERVER_TIMESTAMP, 

SCHEMA_NAME, 

TABLE_NAME DETAIL,  

PART_ID,   HOST, 

PORT, 

RECORD_COUNT NUM_ROWS, 

MEMORY_SIZE_IN_TOTAL ALLOC_BYTE, 

MEMORY_SIZE_IN_TOTAL USED_BYTE, 

MEMORY_SIZE_IN_MAIN MAIN_BYTE, 

MEMORY_SIZE_IN_DELTA DELTA_BYTE, 

 

GREATEST(0, MERGE_COUNT - LEAD(MERGE_COUNT, 1) OVER     (PARTITION BY SCHEMA_NAME, TABLE_NAME, PART_ID, HOST ORDER BY SERVER_TIMESTAMP DESC)) MERGES

 

FROM   _SYS_STATISTICS.HOST_COLUMN_TABLES_PART_SIZE CT

 

So that lead function I need to remediate it in BODS.

 

Anyone familiar with how it should be remediated?

Web Services error in Data Services 4.1

Hi experts,

 

I'm working with a Web Services in Data Services 4.1 SP2 and the datastore not to validate the Web Services URL and gives the following error:

I tried the same Web Services on a server Data Services 4.2 SP5 and the error does not occur and there are also two versions of Web Services (SOAP and REST) while in version 4.1 there is only one version:

According the attached screenshot, my client is asking that BODS has a way to combine the words automatically : LEAKED, LEAKING, MISSING, MISSED (COLUMN: STANDARD_FORM) which has the same meaning. Does BODS has such capability ?

While am trying to run the above SQL in BODS Scirpt am finding a Syntax Error.

 

Can any help.

 

ODBC data source(DDTCSQL31.fremont.lamrc.net) error message for operation(SQLExecute): ([Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0 [SQL Sserver] Incorrect syntax near','.

SQL transform doesnt work as usual

Hi All,

 

So I happened to notice something strange this morning. When I use an SQL transform as a source in my job, it doesnt display any if it properties.

The screen is just blank as below. What could the reason be??

Postal Validation : Address Cleanse Real-time Service returning same result

Hi Team,

 

Recently, we installed the address directory for UK (ga_gb_paf.dir) in the default reference data folder and configured the path it in the substitution parameters.

 

We are currently using the below standard jobs and testing it over the SOAP UI.

 

    1. Job_Realtime_DQ_SAP_Address_Cleanse_Suggestions

     2. Job_Realtime_DQ_SAP_Address_Cleanse

 

 

While testing we observed that the Service is resulting into the same output instead of providing any suggestions related to the postcode.

 

Few more queries:

 

1. Is there any way to check whether the address directory is working successfully/not ?

 

2. Do we need to copy the below files in the reference data folder ?

ga_directory_db.xml

ga_country.dir

ga_region.dir

 

Any suggestions regarding this would be appreciated.

Set Global Variable from SAP Bw InfoPackage by routine

Hi.

 

I am using data services to load data from MS SQL and Oracle into SAP BW and now like to set global constraints that DS loads only data after e.g. a specific creation date. So global variables are exposed to the 3th party selections of an InfoPackage I like to change this values by routine. I found many threads that pointing out that it is not possible to set the selections dynamically, also I cannot find a good solution.

 

So that's because I created this post...does anybody know a best practice to fill global variables with content dynamically created in SAP BW before running the job?

 

Here some ideas I found already:

- Wrote variable content to database and load it in DS from database

- Execute InfoPackage by function module (but nothing which function module should be used.  :-)  )

JBASE database as DataSource

Hi Experts,

 

Right now we are using SAP DataServices 4.1 SP5 and we have a doubt about using JBASE as datasoruce database using ODBC drivers.

 

Its compatible this JBASE database with SAP DS. ? by the way already search in PAM document and we cant see JBASE, but its possible use JODBC driver to made the connectivity ?

Data Services Job failing due to error

Hello Friends,

 

From few days our Data services job has been failing due to below error :

 

Data flow <ECC_DF_Name>

RFC CallReceive error <Function /BODS/JOB_RUN: RFC_ABAP_EXCEPTION-(Exception_Key: CANT_CREATE_JOB, Lock table overflow)

[SAP NWRFC 720][SAP Partner 701 ][ECQ][BIGQASSRV01][user_name][4103]>.

 

Which suggests that the Data services job is not getting created in ECC system. And when we re-execute it, it executes successfully.

 

Has anyone come across any such error, please suggest.

Data Services Installation Prerequisite

Hi All,

 

I have a new BODS(Data Service installation) on a REHL environment. After the running the setup I faced the following error message:

 

Installation aborted. The following libraries are required to run the installer:32bit glibc package containing libc.so.6 (eg. glibc-2.5-34). 32bit libstdc++ package containing libstdc++.so.5 (eg. compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-69.el6.i686). 64bit libstdc++ package containing libstdc++.so.6 (eg. libstdc++-4.4.4-13.el6.x86_64).


After library installation too the service user is throwing the same error.The setup is running with the root user.Are there any specific os privileges needed in REHL for the service user? IPS setup and Data Service setup both throw same error.
